The new fuse holder facilitates rapid assembly - designed for use in harsh conditions

The new SCHURTER FUS series impact resistant, bite type panel mounted fuse holder is similar to the successful FUL series screw mounted high performance fuse holder, with a high rated current/voltage and protection level of IP67.This fuse is dust and water resistant, making it the first fuse especially suitable for harsh environments.

According to IEC standards, the robust FUS and FUL series fuses have a rated current of 16A under ac 500V conditions, while the UL/CSA standard has a rated current of 32A under ac 600v conditions.When ambient air temperature is 23°C, the permissible rated power is 4 watts /16 amps.The acceptable ambient air temperature is -40°C -- +85°C.

The new FUS is made of halogen free plastic and features a metal panel mounted bite-holder to help with quick installation.It can also be used as a radiator during operation.This FUS also offers an alternative plastic insulated sleeve.The cable is terminated by quick connection or welding.The new fuse holder can be used with 5 x 20 mm or 6.3 x 32 mm fuses and provides socket or hand-held disassembly devices for fuse replacement.

FUS and FUL series fuses are suitable for any application exposed to potentially adverse environmental effects, such as equipment exposed to outdoor weather, or equipment exposed to petroleum, chemical, Marine, laboratory, and mining environments.This fuse holder is also ideal for medical and food service or production facilities that require a high level of cleanliness.

The FUS and FUL series, as well as the extended series of PCB mounting versions FUA and FUP, comply with the new IEC 60127-6 and IEC 60335-1 specifications for glow-wire materials specifically designed for current unattended devices.
